Proteo began playing rock n’roll in 1996, but soon moved on to progressive. Their sound is immediate but rich with articulated arragements; a kind of prog-pop. In the summer of 2005 Proteo played at the Trieste Summer Rock Festival CONTEST and played as supporting act of Banco del Mutuo Soccorso. In 2006 they started working on their very first album, Under A Red Polar Light, with the aid of studio engineer Diego Pernich. It includes 9 tracks for about 60 minutes and it has been released by MaRaCash records on the 14th September 2009.
