Saar presents the reissues of the first two Adriano Celentano’s LP’s released by Jolly in 1960.

Saar records has managed to mantain every detail while retaining the features of the original products, from graphics to text labels from the liner notes to the sound quality of recordings. The songs we offer are the living testimony of the debut of Adriano Celentano, versatile artist, singer, songwriter, composer, actor, director and commentator, much loved by the public. Other than the “king of the ignorant” as he calls himself.

You can listen to his early successes, by Il tuo bacio è come un rock that reminds us of the first major victory, the festival of Ancona, Impazzivo per te, Furore, Piccola and Ritorna lo Shimmy (the latter two ones recorded by Anita Traversi, his ideal partner). Walter Guertler, owner of Jolly was really important in the Celentano success as convinced him to play new songs in Italian rather than continue to sing covers of rock ‘n’ roll.

After recording 10 songs in English at the head of a band led by Eraldo Volonte, a talented jazz musician, Adriano dropped his imitation of Elvis Presley and other American artists to undertake a more personal stage acting. His label gave him great authors and writers and managed to create the myth of Adriano Celentano.
