THE FORTY DAYS, a new gem from the Tuscan Progressive-Rock Neo-Renaissance !!
The sound’s references are clearly Pink Floyd, Marillion, Porcupine Tree, but over all the young quartet from Pisa-Livorno knows how to write great songs, characterized by the elegant and intense vocals of Giancarlo Padula (also keyboardist) and the Gilmour’s style pathos of the guitarist Dario Vignale. The line-up is completed by the bass player Massimo Valloni and Giorgio Morreale on the drums.
A new talented band is therefore facing the new progressive Italian scene, with a brilliant neo-prog sound and psychedelic shades. A sound with an international breath.
Every track of “The Colour of Change” (seven, included one instrumental) shows a significant song-writing, with a lyricism and an expressiveness of great melodic and emotional tension.
THE FORTY DAYS becomes immediately a possible new italian prog-revelation, together the already appreciated EVELINE’S DUST and BASTA! (remaining in Tuscany and at LIZARD RECORDS), and consolidates the excellent level and vitality of the new italian prog-rock.
