The film, based on the books by Paolo Villaggio, tells the story of accountant Ugo Fantozzi, who grapples with his unfortunate experiences at work and in his private life, establishing a unique communication style that generations of Italians have become extremely fond of.

The soundtrack, composed by Fabio Frizzi, with the collaboration of musicians Vince Tempera and Franco Bixio, features “La ballata di Fantozzi” (The Ballad of Fantozzi), a cult song that anyone in Italy could whistle by heart, a testament to the immense cultural impact of this cinematic phenomenon.
To pay homage to the fiftieth anniversary of our favorite accountant, a collector’s edition features, in addition to the ballad of Fantozzi, cult songs such as “Impiegatango,” the New Year’s Eve dinner themes, those that accompany his attempted liaison with Miss Silvani, songs describing the hallucinations during his escapades with Filini, the music from the Japanese restaurant, and alternative versions of the Ballad of Fantozzi.

This release marks an unmissable event for all lovers of film music and Italy’s most famous accountant. Available in a limited edition of 500 copies on transparent white crystal LP, the cover features the film logo and Paolo Villaggio in bas-relief, mastered by Claudio Fuiano, and graphic layout by Daniele De Gemini. The cover depicts the crucifixion scene in the cafeteria, and on the back is a reproduction of a period photo envelope depicting an epic scene from the “Scapoli vs. Ammogliati” football match.
