“We have always needed to go elsewhere, but we don’t know exactly where”. The statement on the back of Volevo andare altrove is the key to understand this multifaceted concept, full of emotional tension, which addresses the theme of fundamental desires and the search for ‘reliefs of the soul’: success, luck, harmony, caring for the loved ones, being able to stop time, reaching a better place.

Daniele Olia (guitars and keyboards) develops the idea of ​​this new concept album, calling upon other exceptional fellow musicians: Luca Bonomi (drums), Massimo Zanon (vocals), Michele Spinoni (guitar). The sound combines more classical elements (organ, strings, piano, acoustic guitars) with rock and electronic components, with ever-evolving vocal effects and atmospheres. The style ranges from ’70s prog, to melodic rock with a new wave feel, passing through Pink Floyd-style atmospheres, with long instrumental moments.

At first listening, the project recalls the concept albums of Qirsh (the band from Savona, Italy, of which Daniele Olia is a founding member and author of most of the songs), expertly enriched by the experiences of the other 3 members.

Volevo andare altrove is accompanied on CD by a visionary artwork, with an internal booklet containing lyrics (including the English translation) , evocative images, and captions explaining the various tracks, to accompany the listener on the sonic and conceptual journey. With the same intent, some music videos were also created, and will be released on Youtube by end 2025
