“Link XII: back home” is a jazz-blues project by Campo di Marte’s guitarist Enrico Rosa.
An unusual jazz line up with 2 guitars bass and drums. Papersleeve CD edition.
The Link XII band was born for pure coincidence when Enrico, who lives in Denmark, was on holiday in Italy during summer 2005, met with guitarist Vincenzo Bramanti for the first time in Viareggio during a jam-session and there they felt a special musical mood upon them. Later playing of some jazz standards and blues like (C. Parker) “Billie’s Bounce”, (Bob Berg) “Friday Night at the Cadillac Club” and some of Enrico Rosa’s compositions like “Three Minutes Blues” or “Sqwaqwaz” with a minor blues impro, a connection to jazz through the 12 bars of blues became clear, and so the idea of “Link XII” as an imaginary site where jazz and blues have their home. From that moment the band was born as well as the album “Back Home”.
