Here’s an album we weren’t expecting. More than ten years after his passing, a CD is being released, a revival of the music of Bambi Fossati, one of Italy’s greatest rock guitarists.
“Il castello tira sassi” (The Castle Throws Stones), a title taken from a phrase he often uttered, meaning: “Come on, guys, let’s move, things are going badly!” The album features some previously unreleased studio tracks from 2004, some live tracks recorded from 1990 onward, luckily recovered from old cassettes, and a
version of “Madre di cose perdute” (Mother of Lost Things), now recorded by Garybaldi. In addition to the CD, a beautiful vinyl version will also be released, featuring 28 previously unreleased poems by Bambi and numerous videos. The album is produced, as always, by Black Widow Records, with Maurizio Cassinelli,
Alessandro Paolini, and Matteo Marossa.
