“Bandabertè” is Loredana Bertè’s fourth recording project, the first to be unanimously acclaimed by critics obtaining a huge commercial response.

The album consists of nine tracks, including seven unreleased songs and two covers by Lucio Battisti (“Prendi fra le mani la testa” and “Macchina del tempo”) reinterpreted in a reggae style. It can be considered the album of the musical turning point for Loredana Bertè: the producer Mario Lavezzi and the arranger Tony Mimms, along with a group of outstanding musicians, introduce innovative sounds that make “Bandabertè” a masterpiece.

Ivano Fossati’s influence is very strong on the album: he gave a new “songwriter” approach to the project and chose the title “Bandabertè” (it was also the name of the group of musicians who accompanied the singer in the recording studio and on tour). Fossati signs the lyrics and music of “Dedicato”, already a successful single from 1978, which definitively elevates Loredana Bertè as an artist of national fame. The undisputed hit of the album is the iconic “…E la luna bussò”, one of the earliest examples of Italian reggae.

This milestone of Italian music is back on the market today for the “70Bertè Vinyl Collection” in an unreleased collector’s version: LP 180 GR. Limited Edition Clear Blue Vinyl.
