Mirrorgames album is a somewhat strange but very important for Fabio Zuffanti (leader of the Höstsonaten project). Strange because unlike the previous album (Höstsonaten, 1996, more acoustic and pastoral), and important because it contains the seeds of almost all the musical activities of Fabio in following years until today.
Listening to the album you can hear echoes of what will be the work of La Maschera di Cera, the Merlin rock opera, Finisterre , the ‘seasons cycle’ of Höstsonaten, Aries. All those projects would come years later while those atmospheres are already contained in this album. Mirrorgames features all members of Finsterre, Edmondo Romano ( sax) and a chorus that will be featured on the Merlin project two years later. Mirrorgames has been carefully remastered for the new Mirror label, dedicated to the rediscovery of Fabio Zuffanti
