One of the many groups that would have deserved much more consideration than they got, Murple released a single beautiful album in 1974 for the German label Basf, one of the few Italian productions of this record company, which did not deal with promotion at all of the group and released the album long after its recording. It’s a shame, because “Io sono Murple” is a very beautiful album, right from the fantasy cover and very well played by this quartet from Rome with a long experience.
The album contains a single long suite divided between the two sides, based on the story of a penguin, and even if the lyrics are at times naive, the musical part is very good, with classical influences especially in the keyboards and excellent guitar parts .
