After the past in the 70s and the release of the first official album “Girotondo (giro) fuori scena” (Mellow records – 2000), after the reunion sanctioned by “Obliquizioni…prima che l’aquilone se ne voli via” (Locanda del Vento – 2023), the Emilian CORMORANO, led by the singer/vocal researcher RAFFAELLO REGOLI, reaffirm their active and authoritative presence in the Italian progressive scene with the new album “L’inciampo dell’uovo”.
A sonic, philosophical journey, a deep immersion in the human reflections and sounds that have always distinguished the band.
Also this time included in the Lizard side-label “Locanda del Vento”, “L’inciampo dell’uovo” collects eight songs strongly characterized by the vocals of Raffaello Regoli (for many years creator and organizer of the “Omaggio a Demetrio Stratos” review) and by an original mix of progressive-jazz-soul-blues, heirs in part to the spirit of Area.
So we go into vocal experimentation (in the cosmic messages of “Pax Msg from Universe”), the jazz-rock of “Agguati urbani” and “Somia”, instrumental moments in “Trutse Nalem” (a tribute to Traffic), between universal themes such as identity, connection, dependence, social criticism (SocialNetwork”), stories of asymmetrical friendships (“Amico (oltre le nuvole, come gli dei”), and the final silent and dissolving embrace with the infinite (“C’è che sei…paesazione 2”), all wrapped up in a particularly distinctive progressive, rock, jazz-rock musical style.
