Origami is a project formed by DJs Matejo and Chemikangelo, the latter already responsible for being one of the minds behind the portal clubbity.com. After debuting in the recent compilation “Future Sounds Of Jazz 10” on Compost Records with the track “First Note” their first EP is now released on Big Sur.

This EP contains 3 fresh instrumental tracks: “Amarcord” (this side), a tribute to the famous score in the movie by Federico Fellini, is a ride in breakbeat dub with cinematic influences, whereas the rhythm in “Paper’s Game”(logo side/1) recalls funk and nu-jazz through deep tricks on synth and “On The Rhodes Again” (logo side/2) resurfaces with a velvety broken house tune painted in Detroit shades.
