The album contains 12 songs by Paolo Farina that over the years from ’74 to ’77 were “tested” by the great producer Alessandro Colombini for the realization of a record that for various reasons never went through.

Farina, however, worked as an author for some songs by artists produced by Colombini, as for example in the case of the lyrics of “Al mancato compleanno di una farfalla”, a song featured on the ’75 album by Maxophone, one of the most popular Italian prog groups., released worldwide.

In the summer of 2020 Paolo found an old audio cassette with the audio recordings of those songs and he found them very interesting; he therefore decided to record them trying to respect the original arrangements with acoustic instruments and a “sound” as similar as possible to that of the time.
