Raccomandata Ricevuta Ritorno is one of the many meteors of the golden age of Italian progressive rock, that early ’70s that gave birth to many records still recognized today as masterpieces of the genre. Once the debut album was released in 1972, RRR broke up shortly thereafter, leaving us a lonely beautiful release recorded by the original 6-piece lineup (RRR is active again since 2010, thanks to singer Luciano Regoli’s main initiative).
“Per… un mondo di cristallo” is a concept album, which tells of an astronaut returned to Earth after several years of space exploration, finding the planet devastated by a nuclear war. In addition to all the classic Italian prog ingredients, the tracks on the disc showcase jazz shades and the expressive and unique Regoli’s voice, and make us regret the premature split of an exceptional band.
Faithful reproduction of the 1972 originale edition, on black vinyl.
