M.P. & RECORDS reissues the 2019 CD album "Rosa Rosae": a dazzling return to recording for Donella Del Monaco and OpusAvantra. In true Prog style, this work boldly and poetically blends avant-garde and tradition, lyrical vocals with pop atmospheres. It's about love, in both its forms: sacred and profane. Written with Paolo Troncon, who also handles the piano parts and whose music Donella immerses herself in with her highly original reworkings, this album expertly blends the magical sounds of Latin, which she alternates, with her unique style of singing between lyrical and pop, with an extremely poetic and refined Italian. Alongside Troncon are Mauro Martello on flutes, saxophone, and duduk, cellist Laura Balbinot, Andrea De Nardi on keyboards, and Giorgio Cedolin on drums. But the CD also features some exceptional guest appearances: Donella wanted some of the most prestigious stars of our rock in this new work: from Tony Esposito to Jenny Sorrenti, from the rock guitar of Alberto Radius to the most interesting and solid male voice of our Prog, Lino Vairetti of OSANNA.
