Habitat’s new album, “Fifth Return,” marks the Argentine band’s return, a clear different sound from their previous works.
The production features songs that are close to the song format with modern progressive rock arrangements, featuring sudden breaks, sharp riffs, lively melodies, and lyrics with the characteristic touch of the band’s literary history: Tolkien references, mystery, existentialism…
The band’s characteristic mystical ambient atmospheres are not lacking, particularly in the song “Sortilegios.”
With the participation of two of their longtime drummers, Aldo Pinelli has surrounded himself with new musicians for this new chapter and a splendid painting featuring Oscar Bitz—once again—who also designed the band’s new logo.
The number seven, which appears in various places on the cover, chronologically reminds us of the number of the album recorded in the studio.
