The project stems from a common passion for music by groups such as King Crimson, Gentle Giant, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Tangerine Dream, up to Terry Riley’s minimalism, which results in original compositions in which elements of rock music and rhythms are blended from the southern Italian atmospheres. The result is a World-Prog genre in which a multi-hands compositional process develops on a shared central theme. The classical guitar, flanked by a piano, produces a natural sound that manages to transmit rhythmic energy without drops in tension and emotional charge like the usual electric guitar. The entire disc is dedicated to Nikola Tesla. The mystery that hovers around the life of Nikola Tesla, his visionary ideas and his unscrupulous experiments, almost “science fiction”, have strongly inspired one of the songs on the album, “The Second Sun”, the album’s title track, in which the most evocative phases of his coil experiments at Colorando Springs.
