“Republikflucht! …facing east”, il nuovo album dei Proteo.<\/strong> Il gruppo triestino viaggia a ritroso nel tempo fino agli anni dell’era della guerra fredda, sviluppando in musica un evento cruciale di svolta nella storia: la caduta del muro di Berlino e molti avvenimenti e luoghi ad esso legati, che ancora al giorno d’oggi si ripercuotono sul presente. Da Runden Ecke al tentativo di fuga di Peter Fechter, dalla paura della guerra nucleare al discorso di Ronad Reagan: un tentativo di fuga al contrario, in stile prog.<\/span><\/div>\n
Dopo essere stati premiati come miglior disco dell’anno 2009 in ambito progressive al MEI di Faenza con il loro album d’esordio “Under a Red Polar Light”<\/strong>, ci offrono un’altra perla ove la struttura dei brani è più lunga e complessa ma sempre carica di musica moderna ed attuale e adatta ad ogni genere di ascolto. Infatti con “Republikflucht! …facing east” si denota lo slittamento della band nel complesso universo del neo-prog, senza tralasciare le loro radici di sinfonic pop-rock.<\/span><\/div>\n

“Republikflucht ! Facing east …” , the new album by Proteo.<\/strong> The band from Trieste, Italy, travels back in time to the years of the Cold War era, depicting in music a crucial turning point in history: the fall of the Berlin Wall and the many events and places related to it, which still have an impact on the present. From Runden Ecke to the escape attempt of Peter Fechter, from the fear of nuclear war to Ronad Reagan’s speech: an attempt to flee in the contrary direction, in prog style.<\/span><\/div>\n
After being awarded as best prog album of 2009 at MEI<\/strong> (by the association of independent Italian labels) for their debut album “Under a Red Polar Light,” Proteo offer us another gem, where the structure of the songs is longer and more complex but always full of modern and contemporary music, suitable for every kind of listening. In fact, with “Republikflucht! Facing east …” tha band show their shifting to the complex universe of neo-prog, without forgetting their sinfonic pop-rock roots.<\/span><\/div>\n
