I Bornidol nascono nel corso del 2006 da un’idea del cantante e tastierista Paolo Gatti e del batterista David Garletti, che decidono di coinvolgere strumentisti con cui già avevano collaborato per diversi anni per dar vita ad un nuovo progetto. L’obiettivo del gruppo è quello di sviluppare dei pezzi di musica inedita, idea che si concretizza nel maggio del 2007, con la registrazione del primo EP autoprodotto dal carattere classicamente rock con alcuni spunti più hard\/heavy che lasciano intravedere la direzione sonora che il gruppo prenderà qualche anno dopo. Nel 2010 il bassista Stefano Boldini e il chitarrista Fabio Danesi lasciano il gruppo, che decide di proseguire con una sola chitarra, affidata a Massimo Colosio. Al basso viene ingaggiato Daniel Nicolini che con il suo stile influenzerà positivamente la composizione di alcuni dei nuovi pezzi. Per un paio di anni il gruppo sarà attivo nel circuito dei locali, sia come cover band che come gruppo di musica inedita, ma a fine 2012 viene presa la decisione di dedicarsi esclusivamente al progetto inediti. All’inizio del 2013 entra a far parte della band il nuovo bassista Francesco Fregoni si integra alla perfezione con il gruppo dando un supporto attivo al sound ed alla stesura di tutti i nuovi brani. A fine 2013 il gruppo inizia la pre-produzione del nuovo lavoro che verrà poi registrato a maggio 2014 presso i Phoenix Studio affidandosi per la seconda volta all’esperienza del bravo tecnico Emilio Rossi. Il nuovo “II” lascia trasparire le influenze di tutti i componenti, rappresentando la sintesi perfetta del mix sonoro delle varie personalità, dando vita a sette nuovi brani, le cui influenze spaziano dal rock al prog degli anni ’70, uniti a sonorità più moderne. I primi responsi sono ottimi e la critica coglie il salto di qualità e la maturazione dei BORN IDOL anche nelle esibizioni dal vivo.<\/p>\n

The Bornidol were born in 2006 from an idea of Paolo Gatti, singer and keyboards player, and David Carletti, drummer. They decided to involve musicians they had already worked with for many years in a totally new projet. The goal was to develop unpublished tracks. The idea was put into action in May 2007 with the first self-produced recording, essentially rock in character with some hard\/heavy hints which revealed the sound direction the band will continue to follow a few years later. In 2010 when Stefano Boldini, bassist, and Fabio Danesi, guitarist, left, the band decided to carry on with just one guitar assigned to Massimo Colosio. Daniel Nicolini joined at the bass and positively influenced the developing of some new tracks with his style. The band was active for a couple of years in the pubs as a cover band as well as a self-produced music band. By the end ot 2012 the band decided to completely devote itself to the self-produced route. Francesco Fregoni, the new bassist, joined the band at the beginning of 2013 and he perfectly integrated himself into the group giving an active support to the sound and to the developing of all the new tracks. By the end of 2013 the band started the pre-production of its new work which was for the 2nd time assigned for the recording in May 2014 to the great experienced technician Emilio Rossi at Phoenix Studio. The new “II” shows the influences of all the members and represents a perfect sound-mix summary of their different personalities thus giving birth to seven new tracks. The influences range from the rock to the 70’s prog mixed with more contemporary sounds.
