L’Autunno 2018 in casa Lizard Records è contrassegnato da una gemma discografica: il debutto dei bolognesi MARBLE HOUSE, sin d’ora la band italiana più vicina alle sonorità modern-prog della K-Scope, con particolare riferimento alle atmosfere oscure e malinconiche, ricche di pathos e lirismo, dei Gazpacho.
Cinque soli brani, ma con la suite “Marble House” di ben 24 minuti, di dense suggestioni sonore e ammalianti melodie vocali, in cui la modernità stilistica convive con sventagliate di mellotron e organo Farfisa, tocchi lievi di piano elettrico, l’immancabile Hammond, Harmonium e pianoforte. <\/p>\n
Atmosfere a volte tese, spesso sognanti, sin dal primo brano “To makes ends meet”, tra fraseggi di chitarre distorte e organo, il pulsare irrequieto di batteria e basso, che si stemperano in nella dolcezza degli arpeggi di chiatarra e piano elettrico.
Un vago richiamo ai primi Gesesis in “Reverie”, l’epicità di “Riding in the fog”, il toccante crescendo della ballata “The last 48 hours”, e poi il piatto forte dei 24 minuti della title-track, un’alternanza in chiaroscuro in sei parti mozzafiato.<\/p>\n

Autumn 2018 at Lizard Records is marked by a record gem: the debut of theMARBLE HOUSE, maybe the Italian band closest to the modern-prog sounds of K-Scope, with particular reference to the dark and melancholic atmosphere, rich in pathos and lyricism, of Gazpacho.
Only five songs, but with the long suite “Marble House”, of dense sound suggestions and wonderful vocal melodies, in which the stylistic modernity cohabit with mellotron and Farfisa organ, soft touches of electric piano, the inevitable Hammond, Harmonium and piano.
Atmospheres sometimes tense and electric, often dreamy, from the first song “To makes ends meet”, between the phrasing of distorted guitars and organ, the restless pulsation of drums and bass, which melt into the sweetness of the guitars arpeggios and electric piano.
