Dopo ben nove anni finalmente tornano sulle scene con 36 minuti di puro stupore: Luminance (titolo dell&rsquo;ultimo lavoro) gi&agrave; racchiude in s&eacute; tutta la potenza, misurata in termini di energia e potenza naturalmente&hellip; noi ci chiediamo: ma dove sono stati finora??? Italianissimi eredi dei ben pi&ugrave; noti Fates warning, Dream Theater e Queensr&yuml;che, i FARO seguono alla grande le orme del filone &lsquo; prog metal&rsquo;, quell&rsquo;innesto di progressive e metal che nasce e si sviluppa principalmente all&#8217;interno della scena heavy\/power statunitense attorno alla met&agrave; degli anni &lsquo;80. Con Luminance la band, per&ograve;, &egrave; stata in grado di aggiungere nuove sfumature assolutamente inedite e personali al genere, attraverso anche un bellissimo cantato e delle perfette partiture ritmiche. Lode quindi alla italianissima band formata da ottimi musicisti: Rocco de Simone alla voce, Fabrizio Blasco (ospite alle chitarre e altri strumenti e il polistrumentista Angelo Troiano (chitarra basso tastiere programs) davvero di incomparabile bravura. Tutto il lavoro &egrave; originale, aggraziato, elegante. Le accelerazioni improvvise e inaspettate si sposano perfettamente con il contesto e il modo di attaccare ogni pezzo rende la band riconoscibilissima e unica. In realt&agrave;, ad un ascolto superficiale, potrebbe sembrare che non facciano poi nulla di cos&igrave; eccezionale, ma basta porre un po&#8217; di attenzione per accorgersi che invece hanno una grande capacit&agrave;: rendere semplici parti che in realt&agrave; sono alquanto complesse. Luminance &egrave; un album che sicuramente piacer&agrave;&hellip; Piacer&agrave; anche allo &lsquo; zoccolo duro &lsquo; del prog\/metal: pezzi quali Pure (primo titolo della track list) ricorda da vicino il gruppo di Petrucci e Portnoy come la bellissima Down, uno dei capolavori che non far&agrave; rimpiangere sicuramente i cugini d&rsquo;oltremare. Fragment, invece, offre sonorit&agrave; pi&ugrave; vicine al genere progressive, grazie anche all&rsquo;utilizzo di chitarra e cantato pi&ugrave; morbidi, seppur per nulla melensi e nostalgici del passato&hellip; ci sono altri pezzi (citiamo ad esempio Lucas) che rapiscono letteralmente l&rsquo;ascoltatore, ascolto dopo ascolto&hellip; Un tesoro da tenerci stretto quello dei FARO, una splendida sorpresa, una corroborante cascata di acqua fresca&hellip; noi non ne faremo certamente pi&ugrave; a meno, forse anche voi&hellip; Margot<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span>Band born in 2007, has only one album to its credit, &#8216;Gemini&#8217; (Andromeda Relix), year of publication 2011. After nine years they finally return to the scene with 36 minutes of pure amazement: Luminance (title of the last work) already it contains all the power, measured in terms of energy and power of course&hellip; we ask ourselves: where have they been so far ??? Italian heirs of the well-known Fates warning, Dream Theater and Queensr&yuml;che, FARO follow in the footsteps of the &#8216;prog metal&#8217; trend, that graft of progressive and metal that was born and developed mainly within the US heavy \/ power scene around the mid-1980s. With Luminance, however, the band was able to add absolutely new and personal nuances to the genre, also through a beautiful vocal and perfect rhythmic scores. Praise therefore to the very Italian band made up of excellent musicians: Rocco de Simone on vocals, Fabrizio Blasco (guest on guitars and other instruments and the multi-instrumentalist Angelo Troiano (bass guitar and keyboard programs) of truly incomparable skill. All the work is original, graceful, elegant. The sudden and unexpected accelerations blend perfectly with the context and the way of attacking each piece makes the band very recognizable and unique. In reality, to a superficial listening, it might seem that they do not do anything so exceptional, but it is enough to pay a little attention to realize that instead they have a great ability: to make simple parts that are actually quite complex. Luminance is an album that is sure to please &#8230; The prog \/ metal &#8216;hard core&#8217; will also like it: pieces such as Pure (first title on the track list) closely resemble the group of Petrucci and Portnoy as the beautiful Down, one of the masterpieces that will certainly not make overseas cousins regret it. Fragment, on the other hand, offers sounds closer to the progressive genre, thanks also to the use of softer guitar and sung, albeit not at all dull and nostalgic of the past &#8230; there are other pieces (for example Lucas) that literally kidnap the listener, listen after listen &#8230; A treasure to hold tight to that of the FARO, a splendid surprise, an invigorating cascade of fresh water &#8230; we certainly won&#8217;t do without it, maybe you too &#8230; Margot<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Faro &#8211;
