All the tracks on this album were recorded during the sessions for Thursday Evening and Idiot Savant (the split we did with Controlled Bleeding). This makes Brahim Izdag the final part a triptych, as it was recorded in the same sessions of these two albums in Andrea Serrapiglio‘s studios.
During the years from 2012 up to the present day, we realised that sounds from other countries were migrating into our music, in a way that seemed very smooth and organic.
Alongside these sounds, we invited several collaborators: Zacharia Diatta (a singer from Dakar), Yan Jun (‘chinoiser’ from Beijing), Osvaldo Arioldi Schwartz (founder member of Officine Schwartz), Bernardo Carvalho (the Portuguese artist that made Brahim Izdag’s cover illustrations), Enrico Coniglio (venetian field recordist) and Danilo Donninelli (from the Marche regional traditional music band Traballo
