Nati come Storks nel 1985 a Pontedera (Pisa). La loro musica è Psychedelic Progressive con selvatici tocchi di rhythm & blues. Dopo un demo-tape intitolato “Feeling Crawly” la band fece molti concerti e aprirono per i Pretty Things a Firenze nel 1988. Nel 1990 Michele Profeti e Stefano Gabbana si unisconoa Daniele Caputo formando il leggendario gruppo di Psych-Prog chiamato Standarte.
Nel 2012 tutti i membri tonano insieme con l’aggiunta di un secondo chitarrista Sandro Vitolo e una nuova cantante, l’esplosiva Martina Vivaldi … una sorta di Janis Joplin che incontra Lynda Hoyle … MERRY GO ROUND sono nati. Le tastiere vintage (originali Mellotron, Hammon Organo e Moog) rendono il loro sound affascinante, chitarre elettriche duellano su un ritmo psico-blues, la loro musica vi conquisterà: un’immersione in una vera e propria atmosfera anni ’70 Psych-Prog.

Born as Storks in 1985 in Pontedera (Pisa). Their music is Psychedelic Progressive with wild rhythm & blues touches. After a demo-tape release called “Feeling Crawly” the band play many concerts and they opened for Pretty Things gig in Florence in 1988. In 1990 Michele Profeti and Stefano Gabbani joined Daniele Caputo forming legendary Psych-Prog Mellotron dominated group STANDARTE.
In 2012 all members back together again with the addition of a second guitar player Sandro Vitolo and a new explosive female singer Martina Vivaldi…a sort of Janis Joplin meets Lynda Hoyle… MERRY GO ROUND was born, Vintage keyboards (original Mellotron, Hammon Organ and Moog) lead their fascinating sound, electric guitars duel on a psycho-blues rhythm, their music will capture you dipping in a real 70s Psych-Prog atmosphere.
