THE TRIP, an Italian-British band originally formed in London in 1966, became the starting point of “progressive” in the history of Italian music.
50 years after the release of the masterpiece “Atlantide”, the birth of Furio Chirico’s The Trip , a new formation led by Furio Chirico following the original breakthrough of 1972, with the participation, alongside the drummer Furio Chirico, of brilliant musicians such as Paolo “Silver” Silvestri (Hammond, synthesizers and vocals), Giuseppe “Gius” Lanari (lead vocals and bass) and Marco Rostagno (guitar and vocals).
“Equinox” is the new concept album by Furio Chirico’s The Trip, with the primary objective of opening new paths, carrying forward musical research and experimentation, without any nostalgic approach but rooted in the most genuine progressive rock sound that the original trio has conceived.
The media are excited about the upcoming release of Equinox, so much so that he appeared on the cover of Japan’s most prestigious music magazine, Euro-Rock Press: “The legendary rock band is back miraculously with the new album “Equinox” by “Furio Chirico’s The Trip”!!”
