Tritop is an Italian progressive rock band active since 2008. The project was born from the idea of drummer and composer Ivo Di Traglia, and has developed over time to form a stable lineup and a strong sonic identity.
Tritop's music combines the legacy of classic '70s prog (King Crimson, Yes, Genesis, ELP) with a modern, emotional, and personal language, combining complex structures, timbral exploration, and a keen focus on melody.
After years of live performances and composing, the band released their debut album, "Rise of Kassandra" (2023), which was well received by prog fans. With their second album, "Tritop 120" (2025), the group took a significant step forward in terms of maturity, ambition, and artistic cohesion, confirming their position as a solid force in contemporary Italian progressive rock.
"Tritop 120" is the band's second official album, released on December 12, 2025, on CD, vinyl, and digital. It is a mature and refined work, conceived not as a concept with a defined plot, but as a personal sonic journey: an exploration of themes such as movement, memory, distance, and the light that persists beyond absence.
CONCEPT and CONTENT
The album doesn't tell a single structured story, but rather reflects on the perceptions and emotions that emerge from journeys—physical and internal—and from the relationship with time and memory. This thematic thread resonates throughout the tracklist, which combines moments of great instrumental intensity with profound melodic passages.
